Verve, the Los Angeles-based literary and talent agency, has expanded its leadership team with a key new hire and an internal promotion. The company announced that it has brought on Jennifer Jones as its new general counsel and head of business affairs, while partner Liz Parker has been elevated to managing partner.

Jones joins Verve after serving as head of global business affairs at Condé Nast for the past three years, where she oversaw major content and commercial agreements across the media company’s portfolio. Her professional background also includes serving as vice president of business affairs at Disney+, working in legal affairs at Marvel Entertainment, and practicing law at Munger, Tolles & Olson.

Parker’s promotion follows her rise to partner last year. As managing partner, she will now steer Verve’s operational strategies and long-term direction. Since joining the agency in 2018 from InkWell Management, Parker helped launch Verve’s publishing division and later became co-head of Motion Picture Literary in 2022, strengthening the agency’s presence across multiple creative sectors.

Her recent accomplishments include brokering deals for an upcoming Chris Farley biopic at New Line and overseeing the high-profile sale of the Scarlett Johansson-led thriller *Sasha* to Amazon MGM. Parker has also been active in exploring opportunities to adapt popular online communities and Reddit-originated stories into film and television content.

Verve co-founders Bryan Besser and Adam Levine praised both executives, noting that Parker has been instrumental in guiding some of the agency’s most notable successes, while Jones brings top-tier industry expertise at a pivotal time. According to their statement, Parker’s leadership continues to be a driving force within the firm, and Jones brings “a perfect fit” of experience and forward-thinking approach.

Reflecting on her new role, Parker shared her excitement for Verve’s evolving direction. She expressed pride in the team’s growth and enthusiasm for elevating the agency’s impact. Meanwhile, Jones emphasized her admiration for Verve’s dynamic and boundary-pushing culture, adding that she is looking forward to helping shape the company’s next chapter.
